Equals MC2, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Equals MC2,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects the privacy of people who visit our websites, contact us, engage us for services, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with us.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with our website and related online services (collectively, the “Site”), and describes choices and rights that may be available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site and through related business communications. It does not govern information that we process solely on behalf of a client under a separate services agreement, statement of work, data processing agreement, or other written contract. Where we process personal information as a service provider, processor, contractor, or similar role for a client, that client’s privacy notice and our agreement with that client generally govern the processing.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and which features of the Site you use.

Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information that you choose to provide, including:

business or organization name;
job title or role;
email address;
telephone number;
mailing or business address;
information submitted through contact, inquiry, project, or intake forms;
project requirements, business objectives, budgets, timelines, and other information you choose to share with us;

Please do not send us sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for the purpose of your communication and we have asked you to provide it.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Site, we and service providers acting on our behalf may automatically collect technical and usage information such as:

referring and exit pages;
pages viewed and links selected;

We do not represent that every category above is collected in every interaction.

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as security, performance, analytics, preferences, and, where implemented, advertising or campaign measurement.

Some technologies are necessary for the Site to function. Others may be optional depending on the Site’s configuration and applicable law.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

Service Providers

We may provide information to vendors and contractors that support our operations, such as providers of website hosting, infrastructure, cloud storage, analytics, cybersecurity, communications, scheduling, customer relationship management, accounting, payment processing, professional services, and similar functions.

We expect service providers that process personal information on our behalf to use it only for authorized purposes and to maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

Professional Advisers

We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, and other professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

Business Transactions

If we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of evaluating or completing that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Legal, Safety, and Compliance Purposes

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
protect the rights, property, or safety of Equals MC2, our clients, Site users, or others;
investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or suspected unlawful activity; or
enforce agreements, policies, or legal rights.

At Your Direction

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or consent to the disclosure.

Equals MC2 does not sell personal information in exchange for money.

Certain state privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an exchange of information for money and may treat some uses of advertising, analytics, or cross-context behavioral technologies as regulated activity.

To the extent our use of a technology constitutes a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under an applicable law, we will provide the rights and controls required by that law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children for purposes prohibited by applicable law.

The Site’s actual technology configuration controls. We do not intend this section to characterize a technology as present when it is not implemented.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools

Equals MC2 may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and other technology-assisted tools in operating our business and delivering services.

Where personal information is processed through such tools, we seek to use it for legitimate business purposes, apply reasonable access and data-minimization practices, and use service providers subject to appropriate contractual or technical controls where warranted.

We do not ask visitors to submit highly sensitive personal information through general Site forms for the purpose of training public artificial-intelligence models. Our use of client information in connection with client services may also be governed by separate contractual terms.

Nothing in this section should be read as a representation that every tool, model, or automated process is used on the Site itself.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to maintain business and client records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, preserve security records, and protect legitimate business interests.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the relationship involved, legal requirements, contractual commitments, security considerations, and whether the information remains necessary for a legitimate business purpose.

When personal information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete it, deidentify it, or retain it in a manner permitted by applicable law.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use reasonable care when deciding what information to transmit electronically and should not send passwords, financial account credentials, government identification numbers, or similarly sensitive data through an ordinary website inquiry unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure method.

9. Your Choices

Marketing Email

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the message or by contacting us through the method identified on the Site. We may continue to send non-marketing communications relating to an existing business relationship, transaction, request, or legal matter.

Cookies

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings and, where implemented or legally required, through a cookie or privacy preference control on the Site.

Global Privacy Control and Similar Signals

Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process supported signals as required by that law and in a manner consistent with the Site’s technical capabilities.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a uniform industry standard governing all responses to Do Not Track signals, the Site does not necessarily respond to that signal unless required by applicable law. Other legally recognized preference signals may be handled differently as described above.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside and whether a particular law applies to Equals MC2 or to the processing at issue, you may have rights relating to your personal information. These rights may include the right to:

confirm whether we process your personal information;
access or obtain a copy of certain personal information;
correct inaccurate personal information;
request deletion of certain personal information;
request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and recipients;
obtain certain information in a portable format;
opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling;
limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request; and
receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

These rights are not absolute. Exceptions may apply, and not every privacy law applies to every business, person, or processing activity.

To exercise a privacy right, use the privacy-request method identified on the Site or the contact method provided in Section 16 below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require evidence of the agent’s authority and may verify the request directly with you.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, you may submit an appeal using the same method and clearly label the communication “Privacy Request Appeal.”

11. California Privacy Disclosures

If California privacy law applies to Equals MC2 or to a particular processing activity, California residents may have rights regarding access, deletion, correction, sale or sharing, use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination.

The categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 1. The business and commercial purposes for which information may be used are described in Section 2. The categories of recipients to whom information may be disclosed are described in Section 4.

We do not sell personal information for money.

If any Site technology constitutes “selling” or “sharing” under California law, eligible California residents may exercise the applicable opt-out right using a privacy choices mechanism made available on the Site or a legally recognized preference signal, where required.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit unless and until such processing is actually implemented and disclosed.

California’s “Shine the Light” law may provide certain California residents with rights concerning disclosure of personal information for third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Requests may be submitted using the contact information below and should be labeled “California Shine the Light Request.”

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 through the Site.

If we learn that personal information was collected through the Site from a child in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise address the information.

13. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Site may contain links to websites, platforms, tools, or services operated by third parties. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

A link to a third-party service does not, by itself, mean that Equals MC2 endorses that service or adopts its privacy practices. You should review the privacy notices of third parties before providing them with personal information.

14. International Visitors

Equals MC2 is a United States business. If you access the Site from outside the United States, information you provide may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Different jurisdictions may have different data-protection laws. Where applicable law imposes additional requirements on an international transfer or processing activity, we will address those requirements as applicable to the circumstances.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, legal obligations, or other circumstances.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. If a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide that notice in an appropriate manner.
